Save money on insulin

Are you enrolled in the CDHP plan? Do you or your covered family members use insulin to control blood sugar? If so, you may be able to save money starting January 1!

SB 6087 requires health plans offered in Washington State to cap out-of-pocket expenses for a 30-day supply of insulin at $100 and waive the deductible through 2022. While our health plan is not regulated by the state, your UIP trustees decided to follow the intent of the law.

What does that mean for you?

Starting January 1, 2021, you pay no more than $100 for a 30-day supply for certain insulin drugs. Take a look at the insulin drug list to find out if your medication is listed.

CDHP plan members: Your deductible is waived and you pay 20% coinsurance, capped at $100 for a 30-day supply for certain insulin drugs.

PPO plan members: You are not impacted by this change. The maximum copay you pay is $50 for a 30-day supply.

MORE HELP IS ON THE WAY!
